Amazon SES
Amazon SES identities, verified from Rocketeers.
Sending domains created, verified and monitored, with activity and stats.
Amazon Simple Email Service is the email sending service inside AWS. It is popular with teams that already run on AWS and want high volume sending on their existing account. Rocketeers connects to SES and turns the identity and DNS setup into a few clicks.
What you get with Amazon SES
- Sending domains created from Rocketeers.
- The DNS records each domain needs shown in Rocketeers, and added for you when the domain uses a DNS provider you connected.
- Verification triggered and tracked from the same screen.
- Activity and sending statistics for your domains, without opening another dashboard.
How the integration works
Create an IAM user with permission to manage SES identities and read sending statistics, generate an access key pair and add the Access Key ID and Secret Access Key to Rocketeers, together with the SES region you send from. When you add a sending domain, Rocketeers creates the identity through the SES API, reads its DKIM records and adds them to your DNS when the domain lives at a connected provider. SES then verifies the domain, and Rocketeers shows activity and statistics for it.
Good to know
- SES identities are per region, so connect the region your application sends from.
- New SES accounts start in a sandbox with sending limits. Request production access in the AWS console before sending to real customers.
- AWS bills SES directly on your account. Rocketeers never resells email.
Amazon SES stays your account, on your bill. Rocketeers, the control panel for your own cloud, connects to it with your own credentials.
