AI
Your own subscription runs the coding agents that fix errors and open pull requests.
Codex is OpenAI's coding agent, and the Codex CLI lets it work directly in a repository. With a ChatGPT plan that includes Codex, you can connect your own subscription to Rocketeers and let Codex take on coding tasks across your projects.
What you get with ChatGPT
- The Codex CLI agent running inside Rocketeers.
- Agents that work on a branch of your repository and open a pull request for review.
- Usage on your own ChatGPT subscription, under your own account.
- The same review flow as any other change: your team decides what gets merged.
How the integration works
On a machine where Codex is installed, run codex login --device-auth, sign in with your ChatGPT account and then print the sign in file with cat ~/.codex/auth.json. Paste that JSON into Rocketeers. When you give an agent a task, Rocketeers runs the Codex CLI with those credentials in an isolated environment with a copy of your repository. Codex makes its changes on a branch and Rocketeers opens a pull request through your connected source control provider.
Good to know
- The sign in file belongs to your ChatGPT account. Usage counts towards your own plan limits.
- Signing out of Codex everywhere invalidates the file. Paste a fresh one into Rocketeers when that happens.
- OpenAI bills your subscription directly. Rocketeers never resells AI usage.
ChatGPT stays your account, on your bill. Rocketeers, the control panel for your own cloud, connects to it with your own credentials.
