PageSpeed Insights is Google's tool for measuring how fast and healthy a page is, powered by Lighthouse. It scores performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO, and points out what to fix. Rocketeers runs these audits for your sites through the PageSpeed Insights API, using your team's own key.

#How the integration works

In the Google Cloud console, create a project, enable the PageSpeed Insights API and create an API key. Add the key to Rocketeers. Rocketeers then calls the PageSpeed Insights API for the pages you choose and stores the Lighthouse results with the site, so you can follow how performance develops over time.

#Good to know

• Restrict the API key to the PageSpeed Insights API in Google Cloud, so it cannot be used for anything else.
• Your own key means your own quota, so audits are not shared with or limited by other teams.
• Google may bill usage beyond its free quota directly. Rocketeers never resells API usage.
