Leaseweb is a hosting company with roots in the Netherlands and datacenters in Europe, North America and Asia. Its Public Cloud offers virtual instances with predictable pricing, which suits teams that want European infrastructure from an established provider. Rocketeers connects to your Leaseweb account and takes care of everything from the first boot onwards.

What you get with Leaseweb

  • Public Cloud instances created, resized and deleted from Rocketeers.
  • Your choice of region and instance type from what Leaseweb offers on your account.
  • A complete stack with web server, PHP, database and firewall installed and maintained for you.
  • Deployments, monitoring and updates handled from the same dashboard as your other servers.

How the integration works

Create an API key in the Leaseweb Customer Portal and add it to Rocketeers. Rocketeers then uses the Leaseweb Public Cloud API to create instances in the region you pick, connects over SSH, secures the machine and installs the stack your sites need. After that, deployments and maintenance run through Rocketeers, while the instance stays visible in your Leaseweb portal.

Good to know

  • The API key gives access to your whole Leaseweb account, so store it carefully and rotate it if a team member leaves.
  • Leaseweb invoices you directly for instances and traffic. Rocketeers never resells servers.
  • Dedicated servers outside Public Cloud can still be managed by adding them as your own server over SSH.

Leaseweb Public Cloud stays your account, on your bill. Rocketeers, the control panel for your own cloud, connects to it with your own credentials.
