Mailgun is an email API used for everything from transactional messages to large mailings, with detailed logs and analytics. Rocketeers connects to your Mailgun account and takes care of the part that usually takes longest: adding a domain and getting all of its DNS records right.

#What you get with Mailgun

• Sending domains created from Rocketeers.
• The DNS records each domain needs shown in Rocketeers, and added for you when the domain uses a DNS provider you connected.
• Verification triggered and tracked from the same screen.
• Activity and sending statistics for your domains, without opening another dashboard.

#How the integration works

In Mailgun, open API Security in your account settings and copy or create a private API key. Add it to Rocketeers. When you add a sending domain, Rocketeers creates it through the Mailgun API, reads the SPF, DKIM and tracking records Mailgun asks for and adds them to your DNS when the domain lives at a connected provider. It then triggers verification and shows sending activity and statistics next to your sites.

#Good to know

• Mailgun runs separate US and EU regions. Domains are created in the region your account uses.
• Mailgun bills you directly for the email you send. Rocketeers never resells email.
