  3. Good to know

SendGrid, part of Twilio, is one of the longest running email delivery platforms, used for transactional and marketing email alike. Rocketeers connects to your SendGrid account so authenticating a sending domain and following up on delivery happens next to your sites.

What you get with SendGrid

  • Sending domains created from Rocketeers.
  • The DNS records each domain needs shown in Rocketeers, and added for you when the domain uses a DNS provider you connected.
  • Verification triggered and tracked from the same screen.
  • Activity and sending statistics for your domains, without opening another dashboard.

How the integration works

In SendGrid, open Settings, API Keys and create a key with access to domain authentication and statistics. Add it to Rocketeers. When you add a sending domain, Rocketeers sets up domain authentication through the SendGrid API, reads the CNAME records it requires and adds them to your DNS when the domain lives at a connected provider. It then asks SendGrid to validate the domain and shows sending activity and statistics afterwards.

Good to know

  • SendGrid shows an API key only once, so copy it straight into Rocketeers.
  • SendGrid bills you directly for the email you send. Rocketeers never resells email.

SendGrid stays your account, on your bill. Rocketeers, the control panel for your own cloud, connects to it with your own credentials.
